This Privacy Policy describes how the Happ application (“the App”, “we”, “us”)
collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the App. By
using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
The App uses Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication to let you log
in. When you sign in with your Google account, we request access to the
following Google profile scopes:
- Email address (
email scope)
- Basic profile information (
profile scope), which may include your name
and profile picture
We do not receive or store your Google account password. Authentication is
handled securely by Google and Firebase.
1.2 Authentication tokens
After a successful login, the App receives and stores the following on your
device:
- An access token and a refresh token used to keep you signed in
- A user identifier (user ID)
- Basic user profile data returned by our service
These items are stored securely on your device (see Section 3).
1.3 Academic data you use in the App
To provide its features, the App processes data related to your studies, such as:
- Subjects and subject-related information you add or select
- Academic scores / grades
- Countdowns (e.g., to exams or important dates)
- Academic timeline / school year information
This data is sent to and retrieved from our backend service so it can be saved
to your account and shown across sessions.
- We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, microphone, or
camera data.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We use the information described above to:
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in to your account
- Provide and personalize the App’s core features (subjects, scores, countdowns,
academic timeline)
- Save and synchronize your data with your account
- Maintain the security and integrity of the service
- Diagnose and fix technical problems
We do not use your information for advertising.
- On-device sensitive data (access token, refresh token, user ID, and user
profile data) is stored using secure platform storage:
the iOS Keychain and the Android Keystore (via secure storage).
- Authentication is handled by Google and Firebase Authentication.
- Data transmitted between the App and our backend is sent over the network to
our server. We recommend and use secure connections for production traffic.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of
transmission or storage is 100% secure.
4. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, which have their own
privacy policies:
- Google Sign-In — https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Firebase Authentication (Google) — https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
These services may process your data in accordance with their own policies.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share data with:
- Service providers (Google / Firebase) strictly to operate authentication
and core functionality.
- Legal authorities, if required by applicable law or to protect our rights,
safety, or property.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- Your account-related data is retained while your account is active.
- When you log out, the App clears all sensitive data stored on your device
(tokens, user ID, and user data).
- To request deletion of your account and associated data from our service,
contact us at eduino.info@gmail.com. We will process your request within a
reasonable period in accordance with applicable law.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age required by your local law for
data consent. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without
appropriate consent, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent or revoke Google account access at any time
You can revoke the App’s access to your Google account at any time through your
Google Account settings.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by
updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes
means you accept the updated policy.
